First off, I want to thank all of you who take the time to read these blogs. Your feedback, encouragement, and constructive criticism have been such a blessing to me.

Writing doesn’t come naturally or quickly for me. Those of you who know me well know that I like to get moving and keep things clipping right along. I like efficiency! But the Lord has used these monthly blogs to slow me down, help me process what He is teaching me, and challenge me to share it with others. So, thank you all!

I originally planned to write this month’s blog on Colossians 3 and what it means to put on the new self. The Lord has been using that passage powerfully in my life as I’ve been meditating on it and processing its personal application. I’m excited to share more about that another time.

But a conversation at the campground this weekend caused me to change directions.

The conversation was about moving beyond surface-level small talk - being genuinely curious about people, asking thoughtful questions, and creating opportunities for deeper connection.

One part of the conversation especially intrigued me. Unfortunately, we were interrupted before I could hear everyone’s answers, but the questions were:

●      What is your favorite song right now - something that is truly moving or impacting you?

●      Why do you like it so much?

●      Why is it having such an impact on your life?

Here’s how I answered those questions.

●      What is your favorite song right now?

○      My answer was “AMAZING!” by Elevation Rhythm and Josiah Queen.

○      Click the MUSIC button below to take a listen

●      Why do you like it so much?

○      The gospel is shared so clearly throughout the song. It also makes me move - I can’t sit still while I have it playing on repeat! It draws me into a heart of worship almost immediately.

●      Why is it having such an impact on your life?

○      This song just brings me to tears of joy as I think about how much Jesus has done for me. His abundant grace. How deeply He loves me. How undeserving I am. How thankful I am that my identity is found in Him - not in the things the Accuser, the world, or my own flesh try to tell me that I am.

Now it would be wonderful to hear from all of you!

What song is moving you right now? What do you love about it, and why is it having such an impact on your life?

You can respond below in the comment section.

I’m so pumped to hear what you share!
